Since 2023 we started to develop methodology of Tango Campo, an approach that allows us to address psychosomatic connections in body and gain more awareness and to some extend, control, over the mechanism that trigger those connections. This is where tango has never been further away from dance, and closer to meditation.
Within this work we have been involved in a number of projects:
- series of workshops with Parkinson Helsingborg, in 2025, where a group of 25 senior citizens and their family members learnt basic principles of tango, allowing this low-threshold activity extend a range of therapeutical tools that also efficiently counter involuntary isolation and loneliness, for people in the age of 65+.
- a collaborative artistic research OTRAHANDEN together with a theater group and association for learning and developmnet SIDES, Italy, under support of Creative Culture program. Together we worked on inerpretation of the mental journey that a person conducts, facing a neurodegenerative condition, and connected it with tango as a technique of regaining balance in body and life. The result fo this project was a beautiful theater piece, Otra Handen – the other hand.

- BACK TO LIFE, a project under support of Erasmus+ program aiming to fill a critical gap in post-rehabilitation support for young people who have acquired a disability due to illness or trauma. After medical rehabilitation, these young people often lack effective support to reintegrate into society. This problem is particularly evident for those who come of age, as they are considered autonomous and no longer receive the support provided in the school environment. The project intends to address this need by training youth workers and sharing best practices to support young people aged 18 to 30. For the project activity, Tango Fortuna facilitated a number of workshop between 31 August-7 September 2026 in Tole, Italy.
- TANGO CAMPO: Resilience Through Connection and Movement, a year long cooperation project with our iÍtalian partners with the core objective of the project, to adapt and implement the non-formal somatic methodology ”Tango Campo”—combining movement, biomechanical balance, and active empathy, to support adult learners facing physical fragility, social isolation, or age-related vulnerabilities, while professionalising adult education staff. The project was initiated in September 2026.
