Tango Fortuna Helsingborg

Take a cosy morning with slow enjoyable breakfast and a walk along the city harbour in Helsingborg. Take a cup of coffee in Dunkers culture house watching the sea.  Oh, at that time you might be already be able to hear tango music throughout the house, as we set up for milonga in the atrium, the very heart of Dunkers culture house, room with plenty of light, air and beautiful wooden floor.

The first half n hour is always open for the curious one, to try tango – just come to the Dj and he/she will guide you.

There is no entrance fee. We really want tango as a social culture, to come forward and encourage people to meet, talk and move unconventionally.

For some people, definition of roles is important because it puts clearly power on the map, saying ”YOU LEAD”, and ”YOU FOLLOW”. Deviating from the established roles leads to insecurity, who has the power? Who get´s to decide?? Who is responsible???
Well.

We believe that none of the parties deserve to carry the full weight of responsibility for movement and development, and both are equally privileged with opportunity to express their opinion. As well as both have equal obligation to support each other’s learning and curiosity, and strive for proficiency.

In tango, we have these roles: leader, follower. Let us be clear about one thing: names of roles in tango do not define hierarchy or different levels of responsibility. It emphasises the need of both. Leading is not relevant if there is noone to lead but is pointless when there is noone to listen. Following is foolish when the lead is chaotic but picturing the whole dance, if is emotional and responsive.

On that reason we will always encourage change of roles in dancing, and move focus from power to experience.

Together with Landskrona Pride we invite everyone to join tango as common ground for feelings and motion. We play neo- and some non-tango music.
Try tango between 19.00-20.00, continue with milonga thereafter and for all Cinderellas out there: we stay for dancing until midnight.

Det finns så mycket mer än steg i tangon. Det pratas mycket om kommunikation mellan parterna, även om tango-språket, men hur är det med tango-konversationen? Den ska vi testa och öva på, att finna glädje i  kontrollen över alla kommunikationsmedel som vår kropp gömmer och som musiken kan väl ta fram.  Workshop riktar sig främst till singla dansare men det är inte förbjudet att komma i par heller. Every second Sunday, between 13.00-16.00 we get a chance to dance in a beautiful full of light and with the view over the sea and boats, hall att Dunkers culture house, a place worth visit despite and outside tango.
During the first half an hour there is always time for curious visitors, to try tango with guidance of the hosts, for that matter, the event is hosted in turns by Tango Fortuna and Tangorama.

Tango landar på Dunkers! Varannan söndag bjuder Tangorama och Tango Fortuna in till dans och mysig stämning i atriet på Dunkers kulturhus.

Kom förbi och dansa, lär dig grunder i argentinsk tango och ta vara på en stund med vänner, eller bara kom, sitt ner en stund och njut av dansen och musiken. Fri entré.

Vi bjuder på vatten och frukt till alla danssugna. För ytterligare fika hänvisar vi till Dunkers bar och matsalar.

The season of Open Air by Dunkers kulturhus is now closed. Thank you all friends and visitors who made this summer a succé! Looking forward to summer´2019, meanwhile, our communication with Dunkers culture house (who at some point saw us as inevitable evil, and at some point – as a beautiful decoration of the evening city center) led to a agreement of collaboration involving Dunkers, Tango Fortuna and for the first time: Tangorama! Tjohooo! Our friends and colleagues who have established tradition of tango in Helsingborg, we will finally join our efforts in promoting passion and culture of tango, for wide publics.

Tango Fortuna har den glädjen att bjuda in er till en lätt, lärorik och rolig helg i sällskap av ett tangolärarparet från Portugal, Marta Aguilar och Acacio Coelho!
Att vassa sina färdigheter, bjuds det på fyra workshops under två dagar och för att inte bli rastlösa emellan, anordnar vi en Vitnattsmilonga till er, from dask till dawn.
För att boka in sig till workshops som kostar 250 per lektion eller 800 för alla fyra, betala avgiften till föreningen Proqvis Bg 645-8327, glöm inte skriva era namn. Det går också bra att anmäla sig utan partner. Länken till anmälan finns HÄR.

Entré till milongan 100 kr betalas vid dörren.
Arrangemanget kommer äga rum på Folkets hus i centrala Helsingborg (gamla ABF-huset).

The topics of the workshops are:
– What just en embrace can do: dynamics with the embrace.
– Oversteer, understeer: communication with the embrace.
– Dance for music or music for dancing: embrace and rhythm.
– Steps and sequences: smooth transitions.
– Movements in Contra and in Favor

Yepp, there are more topics than workshops! We hope to create continuity by discussing several interconnected issues, and being flexible about training most on the most challenging parts.

I samarbete med Jensen Komvux i Helsingborg (där vi hade Intro kurs i höstas) testar vi ett nytt koncept som kanske kan underlätta för vissa människor att komma in i dansvärlden genom att lära känna sina danspartner i en diskussion först, eller tvärtom, lära känna sina danskompisar på djupare nivå genom samhällsviktiga diskussioner. Träna språket, kommunikations färdigheter, kritiska tankar, funderingar, lära känna dina kamrater och dig själv, genom både samtal och rörelser.

Det är gratis för Jensens studenter samt för medlemmar i föreningen Proqvi (skriv till tania.bauder@gmail.com om du vill bli medlem, det kostar 100 kr om året, och du kan läsa om föreningen på http://www.proqvi.se) och för alla andra drop-inande kommer det kosta 40 kr/tillfälle.
